Exploring your own city is something every artist does. This is my exploration of the city that is within easy walking distance of home.

As a painter, I recognize I am not a photographer. I do not have the skills, the patience nor the equipment to take anything more than vacation snapshots, or reference photographs.

With that in mind, I headed out each day with photographer Kelly Hurren to walk around my city, down alleyways and through laneways, taking photographs of whatever caught my eye. Although we were in the same place at the same time, our photographs are quite different.
